BANGOR – Ahead of the big game, bars and restaurants were getting ready to handle the Super Bowl crowds.
Even without the Pats playing this year, staff at Seasons said they were still expecting a decent turnout.
Compared to a typical Sunday game day, they said not only is the Super Bowl crowd larger, but it’s a lot louder.
Michael Lopez, a manager at Seasons said, “it’s wilder you have everybody just like cheering, a big play, every controversial play – everybody’s out of their seat.”
He said they predicted they were going to make $7,000-$8,000.
Lopez said the Super Bowl is one of their busiest night of the year, ranking up there with summer concert nights when people come over from the Bangor Waterfront.
