STATEWIDE – An unidentified Mainer has tested negative for the coronavirus.
Federal health officials notified state health officials Thursday that the person who was tested earlier this week tested negative for the virus, a spokesperson for the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said.
The spokesperson said Maine has no confirmed cases of the coronavirus. He said no other person in Maine has yet “met the criteria to be tested.”
According to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. CDC has confirmed 16 people in six states tested positive for the virus.
