BREWER – Police have identified the man killed in an accident in Brewer over the weekend.
According to a media release from the Brewer Police Department, Jordan Parkhurst, 17, of Brewer died after a crash on the Wiswell Road in Brewer. He was a senior at Brewer High School.
The crash happened just after 7:00 Saturday night. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle had left the roadway.
According to police, Parkhurst was the driver. A passenger, Dylan Murray, 20, of Bangor, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The members of the Brewer Police and Fire Departments expressed their condolences to the Parkhurst family and to Jordan’s Brewer High family.
On the Brewer High Facebook page, a post read that, “our thoughts and prayers go out to Jordan’s family and friends during this most difficult time. Jordan made our school community a better place.” According to the post, the school will have counselors and supports in place for all students and staff members on Monday.
