BREWER – In a time of craziness, everyone needs a little something to brighten their spirits. An elementary school student in Brewer is trying to do just that.
Dorian Pillsbury is a second grade student at Brewer Community School.
He started a business selling candles, but it’s taken a new lead.
“The story began at Witchy Decor (sic) and then we went on a shopping spree,” said Pillsbury. “And we helped kids in need.”
Dorian received some help from his mother, Lisa, who helped start the fund with a friend in the candle industry, but Dorian wanted to step up his merchandise game.
So, he started to create t-shirts and stickers with his very own designs that he plans to sell through his store “D-Max Merch.”
He’ll be donating 30 percent of the profit to United Way of Eastern Maine to help feed kids across the region.
You can purchase some of his merchandise at Tiller and Rye in Brewer or visit his website.
“Buy some of my merch today and press that donate button,” Pillsbury said.
