BANGOR – Monday was the first day of February vacation and kids at the Maine Discovery Museum are taking part in a weeklong camp.
Every day has a different theme, and for Monday’s art theme, kids were getting their hands dirty and making plaster mosaics out of clay.
Program leaders said the camp is a good way to get the kiddos engaged.
“February is weird because usually you can’t really go outside every day,” said Trudi Plummer, director of education at the Maine Discovery Museum. “You can’t just park them in front of a tablet or computer all day but they also need to play and meet up with friends.”
Sign up for April vacation camp has just started and the Maine Discovery Museum will also hold a summer camp.
