CHESTER — One person was killed and two people were injured Thursday night in a crash in Chester.
It happened around 8:15 p.m., according to state police spokeswoman Katy England.
Christian Dow, 51, of Middletown, New York failed to stop at the intersection of South Chester Road and Access Road, she said.
England said Dow’s Hyundai crossed in front of a Freightliner truck driven by 41-year-old Jeison Arcos of Newark, New Jersey.
Arcos attempted to avoid a collision but the front of his truck crashed into the driver’s side of Dow’s car and the truck overturned, England said.
Dow was pronounced dead at the scene.
William Arcos, 32, was a passenger in the truck. He was taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor by LifeFlight helicopter.
Jeison Arcos was treated for minor injuries at Penobscot Valley Hospital.
