ONLINE- The common ground fair, which is held annual in unity, has gone online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Maine staple would normally host 60,000 visitors over the three days the fair is ran.
However because of the pandemic, members of Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, the group who organizes the fair, felt it was necessary to make it virtual in a format where the public can still be involved.
“There’s a time to really engage and ask questions. We’ve had live q & a’s which has been very popular, people getting to interact with the experts and get their questions answered and get that feeling of connection which is so very very important and integral to common ground country fair experience,” said April Boucher, the fair’s director.
All of the videos from the virtual fair are available to watch and re-watch on the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association Facebook Page and website.
