AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced Monday morning the number of confirmed coronavirus cases the state has jumped to 499.
That’s a jump of 29 from Sunday’s COVID-19 total. The number of people who have died from coronavirus remained at 10.
A total of 158 people have recovered.
In terms of Penobscot County, 13 of the 25 patients who were confirmed to have the illness have recovered. Five patients have been hospitalized at some point after contracting the illness.
Piscataquis County still does not have any confirmed cases of coronavirus.
