BANGOR – To celebrate National Recovery Month and Bangor’s new “Creative Recovery Program,” the Together Place welcomed Maine author Gerry Boyle.
The Together Place has a monthly Creative Coffee House series and hosts special guests to help people in recovery.
According to the executive director of the program, the community needs to act now.
“We want to be part of the solution, so when people talk about how this is somewhat of a rough neighborhood then lets lift it up. Lets pull everyone together and come up with ideas that sustain this section of the city,” said Sean Faircloth, executive director of Together Place.
The program offers sessions in writing and art that can help people with mental health challenges.
