STATEWIDE – The state’s Department of Corrections has chimed in with some added regulations as amine tries to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
In a press release, DOC Commissioner Randall Liberty said visits to department’s facilities will be suspended.
The DOC will continue alternate reporting requirements for adult and juvenile probation clients, suspend home visits, site visits and certain field work performed by adults and juveniles on probation.
The new guidelines were made in accordance with Gov. Janet Mills’ order to limit interactions with the public.
