BANGOR – Active shooter situations in the workplace was the topic of this month’s Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce Early Bird Breakfast Wednesday morning.
During the event, the keynote speaker noted there is a greater chance of someone being involved in a violent crime than dying in a fire.
Joseph Hileman, executive vice president and co-founder of Blue-U Defense, focused on the mental aspect of being in that type of situation.
“How, when and where do we run. How, when and where do we hide. How, when and where do we fight. And more, how do our natural reactions as human beings impact our abilities to do those three things,” Hileman said.
