AUGUSTA – Some eighth graders in Augusta were making sure everyone can have a proper Thanksgiving dinner.
Students at Saint Michael School packaged and gave out around 200 bags filled with everything needed for Thanksgiving dinner.
The food distribution at the school gym Monday was coordinated by the Salvation Army.
Saint Michael eighth graders have been helping out with this annual event for years, and students said it’s something they enjoy doing.
“It really like gives me this feeling of happiness when I see their faces light up when you hand them that basket,” said Varsha Adabala.
The food donations came from local schools, parishioners, and businesses.
