BANGOR — Accused murderer Carine Reeves, 40, is charged in the shooting death of New Gloucester resident Sally Shaw.
Shaw’s body was found on the side of Route 193 in Cherryfield on July 19, 2017.
In court Friday, several detectives and evidence technicians from the Maine State Police provided details about how Shaw’s body was found with a gunshot wound to her head and upper arm and how she had scrape marks on her body from being dragged.
Detectives also found a .45 caliber bullet casing near the body and underneath Shaw’s head, they discovered the bullet embedded in the ground.
According to her attorney, the state’s key witness, a then-teenager from Lewiston who was in the front seat of the vehicle when the shooting took place, is expected to take the stand Monday or Tuesday.
