HUDSON – Today around 1 p.m the Penobscot County Sheriffs Office responded to a lone car crash Saturday on Darling Road.
Lifesaving efforts were made by both civilians and deputies but the teenager driving of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene.
According to the report, the vehicle struck several trees before rolling over and ending back onto the road.
The teen was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.
The sheriff’s office crash reconstruction team and mappers continued to investigate the accident. So far they have reported speed appears to be a primary factor.
The deputies were assisted by the Hudson Fire Department during accident. The sheriff’s office said more information will most likely come after the holiday weekend.
