CLINTON – Community members in and around town are rallying around the families of three young residents who died Sunday in a tragic rollover crash.
There also are several upcoming fundraisers planned, including one at the Dairy Queen on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville on Feb. 18 and 19.
“Anybody who goes in and purchases anything — 25 percent of the proceeds will go to the families,” said Ashley Pouliot, a relative of Porfirio. “The Legion Riders of Post 14 in Fairfield are putting together a spaghetti dinner … and Danielle Sullivan will have ‘Bulldog Strong’ stickers for $6 apiece and $5 from every sticker will be donated to the families.”
Sullivan, who grew up in Clinton, owns DMS Decals & Vinyl Designs.
Pouliot said the Chrome Angels are assisting with the Legion’s upcoming dinner, which will include a 50-50 raffle to benefit the families.
Police Chief Stanley Bell said a local church also is raising funds.
