BANGOR – With the wintry weather Sunday morning it was a good day to hang inside and play games.
That’s exactly what people were doing at the SnowCon Gaming Convention at the Cross Insurance Center Sunday.
Hundreds of people turned out for the weekend long annual convention where any role playing, board game, or card game you can think of is available to be played.
Organizers said this isn’t the first time they’ve had snow falling outside SnowCon.
“I think we’ve had snow every year at some point during the weekend. In fact the very first SnowCon 12 years ago we had a blizzard. And still people arrived and played games all day,” said Gibran Graham, an event organizer.
Organizers said people come from all over the country for this.
They’re already planning next year’s event which will also be the Saturday and Sunday before Martin Luther King Junior Day.
