AUGUSTA – Maine will continue to be under a State of Civil Emergency until September 3.
Wednesday, for the fifth time, Governor Janet Mills extended the State of Civil Emergency in Maine.
According to a release from the governor’s office, the decision is in line with nearly every other state in the nation.
The declaration allows Maine to continue to use federal resources to fight COVID-19.
The Maine CDC said another 17 positive COVID-19 cases were identified Wednesday.
To date, nearly 4,000 Mainers have tested positive and nearly 3,500 people have recovered.
