AUGUSTA – Monday, Governor Janet Mills will make history again.
Not only is she the first woman to be Maine’s governor, but she’ll be the first sitting governor of Maine to address the United Nations.
According to a news release from the governor’s office, Mills is expected to speak for about two minutes.
Her topic focuses on Maine’s effort to fight climate change.
Governor Mills will be in New York participating in the U.N. Climate Action Summit 2019.
