HAMPDEN – The Hampden Town Council has chosen Paula Scott to serve as the next town manager.
Scott said she has been in Hampden as the town’s clerk since 2016. In 2018, she became the assistant town manager.
Now, she said, she’s looking forward to what’s to come in her new role.
“Hampden is a great community. I’m very fortunate to be here. All of the workers are dedicated. They really care about this community and all of the people here are just amazing,” Scott said. “I can’t be more happen than I am to be here.”
Scott said she plans to continue initiatives and policy directives that have already been set by the council.
There are projects to complete that have been approved in the 2020 budget. Then, she said, she’ll look at the 2021 fiscal year.
Another project Scott said she hopes to start is consolidating the town service buildings into one campus.
