HAMPDEN – Hampden town councilors interviewed a second candidate for their vacant town manager position on Wednesday night.
The public had a chance to come and meet the candidate, Melissa Doane, before the council spoke with her.
She’s been working in municipal government for 20 years and has been the town manager in Bradley for the past 14.
“I just really want to be able to work in the municipal government and do what I can for the citizens and residents,” Doane said.
At the moment, the town clerk, Paula Scott, is serving as interim town manager.
Councilors say they aren’t sure when a decision will be made about the position.
