BANGOR- Tea and Tarts was open a few hours earlier than usual on Sunday for Health Equity Alliance’s Love for All Valentines Day Brunch.
Love for All is a campaign to fund their LGBTQ services department.
Those services include a LGBTQ youth group, support services for parents, and relationship-building workshops.
“A lot of time in the LGBT community, we face a lot of anxiety and depression,” said Sarah Haas, a LGBTQ community organizer with Health Equity Alliance. “We live in a really rural area. Trying to connect with people like you or that even have shared experiences is really difficult.”
Those who want to help keep these services available can donate on Health Equity Alliance’s website.
