HERMON – There’s good news for area skiers and snowboarders.
Hermon Mountain opens for the season Saturday, December 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hermon Mountain’s Bill Whitcomb says conditions are great, thanks to the snow that fell earlier this week, combined with their snow making capabilities.
Whitcomb says he’s excited for the upcoming season, and the return of one group of skiers to the mountain this year.
“The last couple of years we haven’t had our adaptive skiing program and that will be back this year and we’re super excited about that,” Whitcomb said. “We’ve got a very energetic group that’s in here, and hope they get it going as well as it was.”
The mountain’s adaptive skiing program is open to people with just about any disability.
