BANGOR – Bangor police arrested a Hermon woman, who runs a cleaning service, for theft.
According to Bangor Police Lieutenant Brent Beaulieu, a Bangor resident recently hired Cynthia Daigle to clean her residence, through Cynthia’s Cleaning Service.
The homeowner told police after the first cleaning, some of her jewelry was missing, including a diamond ring worth more than $15,000.
After executing a search warrant of Daigle’s home Thursday afternoon, police said they placed her under arrest for felony theft.
She was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and is expected to appear in court on Friday, according to a Penobscot County Jail corrections officer.
Lt. Beaulieu said Daigle advertises her cleaning service on Facebook.
Police said anyone who has used Cynthia’s Cleaning Service and noticed any missing items is encouraged to contact their local police.
