BANGOR – People are helping first responders in a variety of ways.
Now the director of nursing at Northern Light Health’s Eastern Maine Medical Center says there is one item the healthcare staff really needs — headbands for masks.
Deb Sanford said because the medical staff is now wearing surgical masks all day long, a headband will make wearing the mask much more comfortable.
“And you put it over your face and hook it to the buttons here. And what makes this most comfortable is that it’s hooked to the buttons and not behind our ears all day which makes rubbing and soreness,” Sanford said.
