BANGOR – If you’re looking for a chill place to hang out in Bangor, look no further than Timber Kitchen and Bar.
The restaurant is bringing back its Glacier Ice Bar and Lounge.
According to the folks at Timber, they use tens of thousands of pounds of ice to sculpt everything, minus the fire lamps and faux-fur cushions.
This year’s theme is barn.
“The whole bar is made out of ice. There will be an ice luge, there’s a pig, there’s a rooster. [The ice blocks] all come in the same shape and they have carved them throughout the week, and just work on very intricate details,” said Nicole Murphy, a server at Timber Kitchen and Bar.
“There are specialty drinks that come along with the ice bar as well, that you can only get from the outside bar,” server Dayna Detour said.
The ice bar will be open at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday of this week and next Friday and Saturday.
