BANGOR – Jurors heard the taped confession Wednesday of a man on trial for murdering his sister-in-law in July of 2018.
Days after Renee Clark was shot and killed in Hampden, her brother-in-law, Philip Clark, was questioned by Maine State Police.
In that taped conversation played in court Wednesday, Clark said he had gotten in a physical fight with Father Anthony Cipolli, Renee Clark’s spiritual advisor.
Clark said he asked her, “You really think it’s funny that guy beat the hell out of me?”
He said he snapped and that he “pulled the trigger … And I kept pulling the trigger until she was dead. Actually, I think I switched clips.”
The trial will resume on Thursday.
