BANGOR — The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has upheld the murder and rape conviction of a Bar Harbor man.
Jalique Keene, 22, was found guilty of murdering 19-year-old Mikaela Conley, also of Bar Harbor.
Keene was sentence to 58 years for killing his former classmate in June of 2018.
Keene’s lawyers contended the court imposed an improper murder sentence as the result of multiple procedural errors.
The justices said Keene’s arguments were not persuasive.
