BANGOR – A 56-year-old Kenduskeag man was arrested and charged with assaulting a deputy sheriff this week.
Penobscot County District Attorney Marianne Lynch said a sheriff’s deputy went to George Taylor’s house to serve a harassment order when Taylor allegedly ran at the deputy, throwing him to the ground.
Lynch said the alleged attack caused Penobscot County sheriff’s Cpl. Ryan Fitch to break an ankle.
Taylor is now charged with aggravated assault and assault on an officer. His case is expected to be presented to the Penobscot County grand jury later this month.
