AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Wednesday that 20 new cases of COVID-19 were counted overnight, bringing the statewide total to 4,070 since the virus was first detected in Maine in mid-March. Of the total number of cases, 408 were considered probable.
Maine CDC’s statistics also indicated that there were 365 active cases of the illness across Maine.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths attributed to coronavirus remained at 126, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 3,579 people have recovered from the virus so far, while a total of 394 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 201,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
