BANGOR – The Attic, a local thrift store, is celebrating one year at its new location at 54 Cumberland St.
On Wednesday, store volunteers are showing their appreciation.
Between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon, free coffee and donuts will be served. All are welcome to attend.
The store reopened last January in a new, much larger location. Angela Walsh, one of the lead volunteers at The Attic, said they’ve been able to offer new items like furniture, kitchenware, more clothes and accessories.
“It is amazing what we do every month and the people who keep coming back. They love it. They say we’re their favorite thrift store,” Walsh said.
“We like to think we’re a little bit higher end thrift store but the prices are really low,” she said.
Walsh said this past year has set records in volunteers, customers, and profits.
All proceeds from the store benefit All Saints Catholic School in Bangor.
Walsh said for more information on the store and what it offers you can visit its Facebook page.
