MADISON – A Madison woman was arrested after allegedly hitting her cousin in the head with a baseball bat on July 4.
According to a release from Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Stephanie Wade, 27, was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated criminal mischief in connection with the incident on Lakewood Road in Madison.
Mitchell said Wade was arguing with her cousin when she allegedly hit the victim in the head with an aluminum bat, causing a severe head injury.
Mitchell said in a statement released Wednesday Wade is being held at the Somerset County Jail on $5,000 bail.
She’s due back in court on August 8.
