AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Thursday that three more Mainers have died after contracting COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 84.
According to the Maine CDC’s coronavirus website, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state is now 2,189, up 52 from Wednesday. Of Thursday’s total, 238 were defined as probable cases, according to the Maine CDC.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 1,402 people have recovered from the virus, while 264 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, nearly 49,600 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19.
