AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Monday that the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 now stands at 3,423, an increase of eight from Sunday. Of those, 389 cases were defined as probable.
Two more deaths were attributed to the illness, bringing the total to date to 109, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 2,787 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine, while a cumulative total of 359 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, nearly 117,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
