AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday that 3,499 Mainers have contracted COVID-19, an increase of 13 from Thursday. Of those cases, 389 were considered probable.
Meanwhile, no new deaths attributed to the illness, leaving the statewide total at 111, the Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 2,931 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a cumulative total of 366 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 123,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
