AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday that the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 has increased by 17 from Monday, bringing the statewide total to 3,440. Of those, 390 cases were defined as probable.
In addition, one more death has been attributed to the illness, bringing the total to date to 110, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 2,816 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine, while a cumulative total of 360 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, nearly 117,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
