AUGUSTA – The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Monday that another 24 Mainers have contracted COVID-19 but that the statewide death toll held steady at 89.
According to the Maine CDC’s coronavirus website, the total number of cases of COVID-19 across the state is now 2,349, of which 256 were defined as probable cases.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 1,586 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine, while 284 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, nearly 55,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19.
