AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday that 25 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Maine, bringing the statewide total to 5,171.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths connected to the virus remained at 140, according to the Maine CDC.
Of the total cases counted in Maine so far, 528 were considered probable and 586 were considered active, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 4,445 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 441 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 385,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted around the state, according to the Maine CDC.
