AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday that another 27 cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing the total since mid-March to 5,989, but that the number of coronavirus-related deaths so far held at 146.
Of the total cases counted in Maine so far, 648 were considered probable and 637 were considered active, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 5,206 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 469 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 563,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted around the state, according to the Maine CDC.
