AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday that another 31 cases of COVID-19 have been detected around the state, bringing the total since mid-March to 6,095, but that the number of coronavirus-related deaths so far remained at 146.
Of the total cases counted in Maine so far, 653 were considered probable and 642 were considered active, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 5,307 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 473 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 584,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted around the state, according to the Maine CDC.
