AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Monday that the number of COVID-19 cases around the state increased by seven but that the death toll held steady at 125.
In an update on its website, state health officials said the seven new cases reported overnight brought the total so far to 4,049, 408 of those considered probable.
Meanwhile, 3,537 Mainers have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, and 393 people have required hospitalization, Maine CDC said.
So far, nearly 200,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
