AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday an earlier death attributed to COVID19 should not have been.
That causes the statewide total for deaths caused by COVID-19 to total 123. Tuesday the Maine CDC 3,975 have tested positive for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic in the state. That’s an increase of five cases since Monday. Of the total number of COVID-19 cases,427 are listed as probable cases are listed as probable. which were considered probable, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 3,424 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 38 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 170,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
