AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday that one more person has died after contracting COVID-19 since Monday, bringing the statewide total to 126, but the number of cases across the state increased by only one.
Of the 4,050 cases counted in Maine so far, 406 cases were considered probable, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 3,560 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 394 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 201,000 people in Maine have been tested for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
