BANGOR — After a short furlough caused by the arrival of the coronavirus, a local entertainment newspaper is back in print.
The Maine Edge went online back in March and just put out their first printed edition in months.
“We ran out of content because all the events were canceled. We had nowhere to put the paper because a lot of our places, our distribution places closed. And in general, we’re dependent upon advertising and all that stopped one day in March,” said Publisher Mike Fern.
Until further notice, The Edge will be printed every other week.
Fern said he’s working on a downtown advertising plan starting at $50 that any company can afford in an effort to help other businesses survive the pandemic.
