BANGOR – The staff members at Mayo Regional Hospital are preparing for President Donald Trump’s trip to Guilford Friday, just in case.
A spokesman said just in case President Trump needs any medical help, Northern Light Health’s Dover-Foxcroft hospital is ready.
Dr. James Jarvis said Bangor’s Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center also will be on standby.
“Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center also, as being the local trauma center and medical center for the region, also is prepared for such a visit and this particular visit,” Jarvis said. “So, yes we are prepared and we will continue to prepare for any contingency.”
Dr. Jarvis also said protesters and supporters of the president would be wise to wear facial coverings for protection against COVID-19 during the president’s visit to Piscataquis County.
