PORTLAND (WGME) – A group of mothers from around Maine headed to Washington Sunday to meet with legislators.
The group is part of the Maine State Parent Ambassadors and they said they will be talking with Maine legislators and others about funding their projects that help Maine families in need.
Kaitlin Taylor, a member of the ambassadors, said one topic is front and center.
“Maine really needs help where you lose more workers than you get in, so I think our entire state really needs the support,” she said.
The group will stay in Washington until Thursday.
