AUGUSTA – More than 40 people face criminal charges following last week’s meeting of the Kennebec County grand jury.
Grand jurors indicted Shawn Metayer, 60, of Litchfield on two charges of manslaughter and one charge of OUI.

Trudeau of Litchfield.
An indictment against 31-year-old Richard Courtney includes charges of criminal OUI, eluding an officer, driving to endanger and leaving the scene of an accident.
Those charges stem from an incident in July of last year when Courtney allegedly led police on a chase during which speeds exceeded posted limits by more than 30 mph.
Both men are are expected to be arraigned at the Capitol Judicial Center in Augusta within the next few weeks.
