AUGUSTA – Governor Janet Mills’ administration has released additional guidance for businesses slated to reopen in Stage 2 of a plan to restart Maine’s economy.
Wednesday evening, the Department of Economic and Community Development posted checklists for businesses to follow in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
New checklists were provided for museums and transportation.
The administration also updated guidance for auto dealerships, barber shops and hair salons, car washes, construction, dog grooming, drive-in theaters, golf courses and disc golf courses, marinas, real estate, and restaurants.
In a statement, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Heather Johnson said the updates were a direct result of collaboration with public health officials and members of the business community. Johnson said the checklists “protect both public health and the health of our economy.”
You can find more information regarding each specific checklist on the state’s COVID-19 Prevention Checklist website.
