BREWER- For 38 years, people have been getting in the spirit of thanksgiving to help Brewer High School’s sophomore class.
Sunday morning, a kids run and a 5K took place to raise money toward graduation expenses for the class.
Even though it was cold and wet, a good size crowd still turned out for the race.
“These people run in rain, ice, storm, below 30 degrees. Some years its freezing to their face,” said Jeff Gordon, the sophomore class advisor.
More than 470 people took part in the event, which comes out to a little more than $6,000.
