BANGOR – Penobscot Community Health Care is ready to open its new space for speech and audiology services.
The first floor of the facility already has opened.
It’s the new home of the Warren center for speech and audiology and the community room.
Warren Center Director Nicole Duncan said it is more than just a new space.
“Ultimately we’re hoping to expand services. We know that speech services are in demand in our area. There’s a bit of a shortage, a bit of a wait time to get into clinics for therapy and evaluations so we’re hoping to expand that service,” Duncan said.
Duncan said the Warren Center will also make upgrades to equipment.
This is the latest advancement in PCHC’s move into the former Verizon call center.
