BANGOR – A pedestrian was severely injured Tuesday morning while crossing State Street.
Police were called to an accident in front of Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center shortly before 7 a.m., according to Sgt. Wade Betters, spokesman for the Bangor Police Department.
Betters said he was still trying to gather the information surrounding the accident as of Tuesday afternoon.
He said the vehicle that allegedly struck the pedestrian was driven by a man from Orono.
Betters said the pedestrian, who is believed to be a Bangor resident, was taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
